1Introduction

SolveARC FinSight ("we", "our", or "us"), operated by SolveARC at https://solvearcreporting.com, is a financial reporting and analytics platform designed for businesses and their authorised users.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our application at app.solvearcreporting.com, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By accessing or using FinSight, you agree to the practices described here.

2Information We Collect

Account & Identity Information

• Google account data: When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Invitation data: Administrators may record your name and email address when issuing an invite to the platform.

Financial Data You Upload

• Excel, CSV, or Google Sheets files you upload or connect are processed locally in your browser and/or via Google's Sheets API. We do not transmit your financial data to our servers.
• Financial data processed through the AI Analyst feature is sent to OpenAI's API using your own API key. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data.

Technical & Usage Information

• Browser type, device information, and access logs may be collected through our hosting provider (Netlify). See Netlify's Privacy Policy.

3How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your identity and grant access to the FinSight platform.
• To personalise your experience (name, avatar, role assignment).
• To allow administrators to manage users and access permissions.
• To maintain activity logs for security and audit purposes (stored locally in your browser).

4Data Storage & Security

FinSight is primarily a client-side application. Most data (user list, logs, Google OAuth tokens, sheet URLs) is stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to SolveARC servers.

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect against unauthorised access, including OAuth-based authentication via Google, invite-only access controls, and HTTPS encryption on all pages.

5Google OAuth & Google Sheets

Our application uses Google's OAuth 2.0 for authentication and the Google Sheets API (read-only scope) to connect your spreadsheets. By connecting your Google account you authorise us to:

• Read your Google account email, name, and profile photo for identification.
• Read-only access to Google Sheets files you explicitly share or connect. We never write to or modify your sheets.

You can revoke this access at any time via Google Account Permissions.

6Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store session tokens, user preferences, and connected sheet references. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. Clearing your browser data will remove all locally stored FinSight data.

7Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Since most data is stored locally in your browser, you can exercise these rights by:

• Clearing your browser localStorage to remove all stored data.
• Contacting your FinSight administrator to remove your account from the approved user list.
• Emailing us at the address below for any other requests.

8Children's Privacy

FinSight is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of FinSight after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
